Sitting on the Kitchen Counter

Restored to his family after years apart, he flipped on the radio during a lunch break and kept climbing back onto the counter to listen.
“Needless to say I was back to sitting on the kitchen counter with my ear turned to the radio.”
The Lord had restored me to my family after many years of separation, and to my joy it had grown. Praise GOD for two wonderful grand children. One day as I was taking a break between making them lunch and waiting for my daughter to come home I sat up on the kitchen counter and turned on the radio. The station turned out to be BBN.
Stephen was teaching through Proverbs. His voice was a joyful sound and his words explained things beautifully. After the teaching I listened for any information on when he would be on again. Needless to say I was back to sitting on the kitchen counter with my ear turned to the radio.
I had this image in my head that was a young and up coming preacher in a little country town in Cary North Carolina. I listened for a few months every day until I discovered he could be found on line. I have been a Christian for 30 years and became a student of the Bible very early on. I have heard thousands of sermons and have heard some strange things, but Pastor Stephen has always been spot on in all his teaching.
I worked as a transmission mech. for 30 years and was able transpose what I learned there into how to understand the Bible. Our God is a God of order and reason, as well as a God of Love and Faithfulness. Stephens teaching has always lined up with the true and living word of God.
I am also attracted to Pastor Stephen ability to smile and gently laugh as he presents the message, and his personal stories are very helpful. I recall one of many when had to destroy the flees in his apt. once. He understood that the only way save the flees was to become one of them and warn them all to escape the coming judgement.
He nailed the glorious truth that Christ took on flesh to come show us the was of escape. The last news letter that I received had a picture of Pastor Davey on it. I cut it out and it is stuck to my fridge with magnet. I listen every morning and include Wisdom International in my prayers every day.
Its a great Joy hope that he gets this message and is greatly encouraged. Love Bill
