The Man I Saw in My Dream

Without this ministry, my life would be in complete disaster. God has used Stephen Davey since the start of his ministry via BBN, and I was one of the first listeners, I am sure. I have a very amazing testimony in how the Lord used a dream, when BBN was playing through the night, as I tried to sleep in peace listening to the Word and the ministering music. Somewhere in the middle of the night, Stephen's program was playing...

He was talking about mistakes and how God can bring us OUT of disobedience, if we choose his ways, etc. It was a sermon that I had never heard, and a person I had never heard. In my dream, I saw a man with reddish brown hair (slightly balding but not all quite yet), glasses and standing behind a lectern. It was pretty vivid of a dream, and throughout I heard the piercing message that God still loved me, He sees me, and that the peace of Jesus is possible.

To just hold on. He loves me. I do not know the exact words he spoke, as I was dreaming at the same time of listening to this sermon through BBN on my radio. When I woke up, I has a sense of peace...

I remembered this man vividly (my memory is pretty sharp), and I just took that peace and ran with it for many more days to months. ... I continued to listen to Wisdom International DAILY, without fail, every 8:30am like I still do today. So, about a year after that sleepy sermon and dream, the internet was wider (maybe around 2003), I went online to the church site and there he was!

That was the man I saw in my dream! I could not believe it! I recalled the image in my dream of the man talking about the Lord's great love and that no sin is too big for him to forgive in repentance... That was him!

This was a confirmation to me that God wanted me to continue to listen to Stephen (alongside my regular Bible reading) to gain the wisdom and STRENGTH I needed for the road ahead. It has been a HARD ROAD. it still is, but I can honestly thank Stephen Davey for my life, as many times I could have given up. I could not believe the Lord would use this man from Norfolk, Virginia (and yes, I have heard all those short stories of him growing up here in all the sermons!), to bring me to the peace and full saving knowledge of Jesus Christ- our KING.

I am forever grateful for this ministry and for Stephen's obedience to carry out the Wisdom International mission. I am always telling others about the ministry, and I know my own pastor listens to him! My entire family knows his voice, but they have no idea how (before we had children) and I was at my lowest of LOWS in life, God used one radio broadcast in my sleep to reveal to me that this man of God can be trusted, and that I can keep going because of the Truth of the Word and the Wisdom therein. Thank you so much Stephen.

It is a dream of mine to meet you one day. I have called in once to share this testimony. I hope you heard of it. Our God is great!

Thank you for carrying on yourself, as when I watched your talk about your physical condition... I cried and cried. I had no idea, after all these years of listening, that you struggled with this. you never talked about it, yet you could have.

When you shared about it in recent times, I was so sad. But God used even that to show me again, no limitations in the physical can prevent His WORD to get out, to the nations, for His GLORY!!! Praising God for you Stephen and your lovely wife. I am thankful for all you do.
